The Van Gogh Museum
Every year, the Van Gogh Museum welcomes approximately 1,8 million visitors from more than 100 different countries. Home to the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh’s paintings, the museum takes you on a journey through the life of Vincent van Gogh and his contemporaries. Renowned masterpieces, quotes from letters and audio fragments all unite to answer your burning questions about Vincent. About his numerous self-portraits, for example. About the time he spent in Southern France, where he painted the world-famous Sunflowers. Or about why and for whom he painted Almond Blossom. In addition to the permanent collection, the Van Gogh Museum also organises three temporary
exhibitions every year. Looking to delve deeper? Discover more about Vincent van Gogh and his contemporaries with the multimedia guide, available in 12 languages. Book a guided tour or attend a lecture, workshop or one of our evening openings.
