Henri Willig Cheese

Henri Willig Cheese has been produced on its own cheese farm for almost 50 years.

Henri Willig was born and raised on (cheese) farm De Jacobs Hoeve in Katwoude. Together with his wife Riet, he took over the farm in 1974. They took a cheese making course together and that was the beginning of a very successful family business. Henri Willig has mastered the art of cheese making so well that today Henri Willig’s cheeses are world famous and have won many awards. In almost 35 stores in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, Henri Willig offers its artisanal cheeses, as produced in the cheese dairies in Katwoude & Heerenveen (NL).

In 3 farms and in Edam, Henri Willig offers special experiences:

– For example, on the Zaanse Schans with its windmills, cheese farm the Catharina hoeve where a small cheese experience can also be visited.

– Cheese farm the Alida Hoeve in Volendam also offers clog factory De Vriendschap so that in addition to the cheese making craft, the art of clog making can also be experienced.

– At the birthplace of Henri Willig Cheese farm de Jacobs Hoeve in Katwoude is an organic Jersey cowshed, which can be visited by means of a self-guided tour, so that here the entire chain from land to customer can be experienced.
